Starting January 22, 2024 for 15 nights, hosted by Michael & Kelly.
Rugged & beautiful, go where few have tread – on our Antarctica adventure expedition. Experience intimate connections with fellow explorers and the environment in this remarkable destination.
Arrive for two nights in Buenos Aires (with transfers, city tour, exclusive dinner, and an included charter flight to Ushuaia), a tour to Patagonia in Tierra del Fuego (land of fire), and a fabulous 13 night cruise aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages to Antarctica, where we will make many landings on this otherworldly continent.
Forge a path through the ice floes of the Antarctic Peninsula and South Shetland islands on a Zodiac safari or with a kayaking excursion, to name a couple of experiences. Keep a lookout for leopard seals lounging on the ice nearby and sail around Cape Horn – still considered one of the most challenging navigations – with a possible landing.
While you’ve chosen to embark on a journey with Atlas Ocean Voyages to Antarctica, high-end accommodations must always remain top-of-mind. Their Explorer Class ships each feature four decks of suite and balcony accommodations, totaling under 100 that range in size and spaciousness to suit your needs. All feature cinematic ocean views, all here include balconies, and the interior décor is selected with a designer’s eye. Enjoy the perfect balance of rugged days and indulgent nights on board your Explorer Class ship.
BUILT FOR THE EXTREMESWhen going on an Antarctica expedition, it’s important the ship you sail on is purpose-built for the region. As the continent does have extreme low temperatures and ice, an expedition ship needs to be properly equipped to handle rain, snow, ice and even mist. Our ships’ polar code categorization ensures the crew has access to the necessary gear to uphold safety protocols at all times, such as electrical and pneumatic devices for ice removal and fire extinguishers that can operate in cold temperatures.
POLAR CATEGORY C AND ICE CLASS 1BWorld Navigator and World Traveller are Polar Category C and Ice Class 1B ships. They are built with materials intended to withstand low air temperatures. That means they can operate at polar surface temperatures. Furthermore, they have been ice-strengthened to resist forces that can cause structural damage. With these polar code categorizations, our expedition ships offer safety and stability when intact and navigating waters with mild ice conditions.
