DAY 2, SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 2021
This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of San Francisco, taking in all the major sites. See Golden Gate National Recreation area, including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Presidio. Also, see Fisherman’s Wharf, Union Square, and more. Enjoy free time to explore the Golden City before dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 3, SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2021
SAN FRANCISCO–SONOMA–LAKE TAHOE
Today, cross the Golden Gate Bridge and head to California’s wine country for a guided tour of the wine caves and a tasting at the GLORIA FERRER CAVES & VINEYARD, makers of award-winning sparkling wines. Continue to beautiful Lake Tahoe for an evening at leisure.
DAY 4, MONDAY SEPTEMBER 27, 2021
This morning, enjoy a CRUISE on scenic Lake Tahoe. Learn how the lake was formed, some of its fascinating history, and enjoy fantastic photo opportunities. Then, travel on the beautiful scenic Carson Pass over the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range to Tuolumne, a historic community with rich ties to the California Gold Rush.
DAY 5, TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2021
TUOLUMNE–YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
Today, journey into YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles you can also find grand meadows, ancient sequoias, and much more.
Enjoy a VALLEY FLOOR TRAM TOUR that highlights the wonders of this incredible park. Later, continue to your elegant resort, the Tenaya Lodge.

This evening, join in a STARGAZING PROGRAM, where you’ll hear ancient and cultural stories about the constellations and enjoy an evening under the brilliant California sky.

SEQUOIA/KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS–MONTEREY
Spend more time this morning exploring these magnificent parks, which now protect nearly half the remaining sequoia groves in the world.
See the General Sherman Tree, spend time at the Visitors’ Center, and just relax in one of the most beautiful settings you’ll find.
We then continue across the farmlands of California to the coastal town of Monterey for a 2-night stay.
DAY 8, FRIDAY OCTOBER 1, 2021 MONTEREY
EXCURSION TO CARMEL
Today’s highlights include a journey along scenic 17-MILE DRIVE. Enjoy views of the famous Lone Cypress, Pebble Beach Golf Course, and million-dollar homes. Stop in the seaside town of Carmel-by-the-Sea, a haven for writers, artists, and celebrities. Spend time browsing the shops or perhaps take a stroll on the beach. Then, return to Monterey and visit Cannery Row, immortalized by John Steinbeck in his novel of the same name. Then, enjoy a visit to the world-famous MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM. This evening, your Tour Director hosts a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Look over your vacation details: the dated itinerary, insurance information, and other details, to ensure that we’ve
covered everything you need for your vacation.
Hotels may differ from those listed in the brochure on any vacation, but the accommodations selected are of
equivalent standard. Your hotels will be available in your final documents approximately 2-3 weeks prior to
departure. No compensation is provided for hotel stays not listed in the brochure or on the web sites.
Additional advisements may be sent to you.
Confirmation of hotels will be available approximately 30 days prior to departure. In the event of additional
departures on the same date, or other events that may result in the unavailability of hotels as listed in the tour
descriptions, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent in standard.
Any optional excursion pricing and payment options will be available in your Travel Packet (or Documents for Groups)
and will list the currency in which those optional excursions are purchasable. If your tour allows you to pay by credit
card for those optional excursions, your bank will convert, if necessary, the amount to your local currency at your
bank's exchange rate. Full details will be provided in around 90 days prior to travel and in passenger documents.
Tour ends at San Francisco International Airport. Please schedule return flights after 1 pm.

*Please note that in some cases we charge a planning fee for completely custom designed itineraries that are not otherwise part of a cruise or tour. In such cases, we would advise you that you would incur a fee if you still wish to proceed. Agency Cancellation Fees of $100 per person for 1st and 2nd passenger, and $50 per person for each additional passenger on the same reservation applies to cancellations. Please note: Agency Cancelation Fees may not be covered by some insurance premiums. Additionally, credit card chargebacks will incur a $150 fee, per occurrence, for chargebacks relating to correctly planned and client authorized application of funds for travel which has been deposited, or those after deposit whereby interim payments have been applied after deposit, and those paid in full.
When booking separate airfare that is not provided by a tour operator or cruise line, we charge a ticketing fee for international air of $100 per person and domestic air fee of $30 per person and $50 per person for Hawaii & Alaska. The fee will be waived if booked as part of a supplier package. Please note that travel suppliers may have ticketing, deviation, custom air, or stopover fees.
Before booking any international air we require copies of your passports. Cancelling a scheduled appointment is fine but no shows will incur a $50 fee.
