The Outlander Society is a private travel club focused on thoughtfully hosted journeys and Voyages Extraordinaires, designed for a changing world. Our experiences emphasize preparation, context, and shared confidence, particularly when plans evolve, allowing our travelers to focus on discovery, connection, and enjoyment rather than logistics.
Small by Design
We travel in intentionally small groups, limited to a maximum of 28 guests, though most journeys host between 12 and 18 travelers. Each adventure clearly lists its maximum group size.
Smaller groups allow for:
○ Greater flexibility
○ Deeper access
○ Stronger group dynamics
○ A calmer, more personal travel experience
Our Two Rules
To protect the experience for everyone, we have two simple rules:
1. No grumpy travelers. Outlanders are adaptable, flexible, and travel well when plans evolve.
2. No discussion of divisive politics while on holiday.
These guidelines exist to preserve the spirit of travel and protect the quality of the group experience for everyone.
Who Becomes an Outlander
Outlanders tend to share a few things in common:
○ Curiosity about the world
○ Respect for others
○ Appreciation for preparation and leadership
○ Enjoyment of traveling in good company
Membership is earned naturally.
Guests are invited or apply to join one of our hosted journeys. Toward the end of the trip, travelers who align with the group and respect the Code of Conduct are welcomed as members of the Outlander Society.
That’s it. No application packets. No status games. Just good travel, well shared.
Invitation and Code of Conduct
The Outlander Society Travel Club is invitation-based, though you may request to apply or ask an existing member to stand for you.
Because our group experiences rely on trust and mutual respect, we take our Code of Conduct seriously. A link is provided at the bottom of this page.
Why Hosted Travel Matters
Our hosted journeys are designed to remove uncertainty, provide context, and create shared confidence, so you can focus on the experience rather than the logistics.
In a world where travel is becoming more complex, thoughtful planning and experienced leadership matter more than ever, often making the difference between frustration and enjoyment.
Member Benefits
Outlander Society members enjoy:
○ Early access to new journeys
○ Exclusive invitations
○ Priority consideration on limited-capacity experiences
○ Peace of mind when plans change
Most importantly, they enjoy traveling with people who value preparation, perspective, and good company.
"Won’t be going out of the country unless Michael is leading the group. He takes care of every detail, you have no worries.”
"MGA Travel is the only way to go! Always a great adventure and every detail taken care of. They do all the work so we can relax and have fun."
“We love traveling with Michael and Kelly. They are such gracious hosts and if anything goes wrong, they are on top of it. The trip was awesome.”
“Always wanted to travel to this area of the country and it seemed the perfect time to combine a river cruise and 3 national Parks. None of which I have experienced before.”
“Before we depart for our Westward Home Journey Friday would like to thank each and every one of you fellow travelers a wonderful time in the past three weeks. There may be similar and different interests among us, but we share our friendships and memories. It would be a grave mistake to not mention our Tour Guides and "Shepards" for the past three weeks Michael and Kelly Graham. Their collective World Wide Travel Experiences is one of the reasons we chose MGA Travel for this [Outlander Society] Trip and others in the past. As for the personal touch Michael brought for me was the assistance in securing Wheelchair Assistance for the transfer points at Airports and the Scooter to get me around our Journeys, without it would have been dead in the Water. I think my Scooter Driving Test was the open Air Market of Casablanca and surrounding areas. As a side note to mention Michael's personal Touch this past January Florida Keys Trip one of the Gentleman fell and injured himself which required him to be sent to a Miami Hospital for Plastic Surgery to close the forty stitches. Michael flew from Myrtle Beach to the Keys to assist Troy in making sure the injured Gentleman would be taken care of and calm his Wife. You don't hear of too many Travel Agents providing that, once again Mike thanks. I'll share with you one of my Bucket List Items to be checked off from nine years ago; if anybody wants to join me- let's go. So Au Revoir Fellow Travelers and see you around the Planet!.”

”Michael and Kelly, thanks again for another wonderful trip. The Royal Clipper was a unique experience we will cherish and Slovenia was a total surprise—so clean, lovely, and enjoyable. The Michelin 3* was also fun and a great experience. And, YES, we appreciated and enjoyed the FREE TIME. Heartily recommend you continue to build it into future trips. Continue doing what you are doing. It’s always interesting and fun. “
“Totally enjoyed this trip! Our group was great, everyone very personable. Ship was so much fun and different. I like different. Extra effort you made with dinners, especially hisa Franko, did not go unnoticed . Treating everyone as individuals, not just a guest, made it special for me.”
”Always fun to travel with the Outlanders. A great group of people and it’s a treat to see familiar faces at meals and to share information over a glass of wine about the adventures of the day. A real added bonus is having Michael and Kelly host our trips. Not only are they fun traveling companions, but they take care of every detail and often add an unexpected event to the already interesting itinerary. “
“In the last 8 months I have taken 2 major trips with MGA Travel - in 2023 to Alaska, and very recently to Argentina/Antarctica. Both trips were spectacular. Tom and Marge Mugno were excellent hosts for Alaska which included a cruise segment, as well as an excursion into Denali. Michael and Kelly Graham hosted the Antarctica trip, as part of MGA’s Outlander Society. I cannot adequately express the service they provide to Outlander clients - they go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the experience is the best that it can be. It is simply the best customer care I have ever received..”
I’ve been all over the world with the Outlanders. Making new friends on each trip while enjoying old friends from previous voyages. Networking about the best places to go in the world while sharing the trip we are on.
The Outlanders Group has provided ease to my travels!“
"We have now travelled with Michael Graham on [Outlander] trips to Europe and also within the USA (Maine). Never has travel been easier or more enjoyable. Michael and his staff are knowledgeable professionals who leave no stone unturned to assure your comfort, safety, and pleasure. It’s a joy to deal with MGA!“
“The Outlanders group is very rewarding! Travel with strangers who become immediate “life friends” is the most amazing component of this group. Travel is without angst! All questions anticipated and answered in a very positive manner. The extra touches are beyond measurement.”
“Traveling with The Outlanders is a trip I always get excited about. Michael Graham and his team have done a great job of selecting amazing journeys. And, over time, The Outlander Group has become like a family....we always look forward to seeing each other and catching up on what each other has been doing. As a solo traveler, Michael has done a wonderful job in selecting other solo Outlanders to be my roommates. And, as an Outlander, all of the trip planning is done for you ahead of time.... airfare is selected, excursions are planned, transfers from airport to hotel and/or ship are arranged. I would recommend The Outlander group to anyone who is looking for an interesting, dynamic travel group!"
