Our 2027 Outlander holiday journey begins in Athens, one of the great starting points in the history of travel and storytelling, before we set out on our own much more comfortable modern-day odyssey home to Miami.
We’ll begin with two nights at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in the heart of Athens, including private touring, the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, and our Outlander Welcome Dinner. Then we’ll board Oceania’s brand-new Aurelia for a 31-day voyage through the Mediterranean, Spain, Portugal and the Canary Islands before crossing the Atlantic and arriving home in Miami.
Along the way, we’ll celebrate Christmas at sea, spend New Year’s Eve overnight in Málaga, enjoy some of Europe’s most appealing ports, and then settle into the slower rhythm of an Atlantic crossing.
This is not simply a long cruise. It is a holiday season spent differently: good food, good company, beautiful places, time to slow down, and the experience of making the journey home part of the adventure.
And unlike Odysseus, we fully expect the trip home to take exactly as long as planned.

We will arrive in Athens on December 16, 2027, giving our group time to settle in, enjoy one another’s company, and experience one of the world’s great historic cities before boarding the ship. (Depart the USA on December 15th).

On December 18, 2027, we embark Oceania Aurelia in Piraeus, the port of Athens, and begin a 31-day voyage to Miami. Along the way, we’ll visit Malta, Sicily, Naples, Rome, Tuscany, the south of France, Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands, Puerto Rico, and finally Miami.
This is not a rushed holiday getaway. It is a true seasonal escape.
