The Outlander Society is a private travel club focused on thoughtfully hosted journeys and Voyages Extraordinaires, designed for a changing world. Our experiences emphasize preparation, context, and shared confidence, particularly when plans evolve, allowing our travelers to focus on discovery, connection, and enjoyment rather than logistics.

Upcoming Outlander Trips, Adventures, and Quests further down

Small by Design
We travel in intentionally small groups, limited to a maximum of 28 guests, though most journeys host between 12 and 18 travelers.  Each adventure clearly lists its maximum group size.

Smaller groups allow for:
  ○ Greater flexibility
  ○ Deeper access
  ○ Stronger group dynamics
  ○ A calmer, more personal travel experience

Our Two Rules
To protect the experience for everyone, we have two simple rules:

  1. No grumpy travelers. Outlanders are adaptable, flexible, and travel well when plans evolve.
  2. No discussion of divisive politics while on holiday.

These guidelines exist to preserve the spirit of travel and protect the quality of the group experience for everyone.

Who Becomes an Outlander
Outlanders tend to share a few things in common:

  ○ Curiosity about the world
  ○ Respect for others
  ○ Appreciation for preparation and leadership
  ○ Enjoyment of traveling in good company

Membership is earned naturally.
Guests are invited or apply to join one of our hosted journeys. Toward the end of the trip, travelers who align with the group and respect the Code of Conduct are welcomed as members of the Outlander Society.

That’s it. No application packets. No status games. Just good travel, well shared.

Invitation and Code of Conduct
The Outlander Society Travel Club is invitation-based, though you may request to apply or ask an existing member to stand for you.

Because our group experiences rely on trust and mutual respect, we take our Code of Conduct seriously. A link is provided at the bottom of this page.

Why Hosted Travel Matters
Our hosted journeys are designed to remove uncertainty, provide context, and create shared confidence, so you can focus on the experience rather than the logistics.

In a world where travel is becoming more complex, thoughtful planning and experienced leadership matter more than ever, often making the difference between frustration and enjoyment.

Member Benefits
Outlander Society members enjoy:

  ○ Early access to new journeys
  ○ Exclusive invitations
  ○ Priority consideration on limited-capacity experiences
  ○ Peace of mind when plans change

Most importantly, they enjoy traveling with people who value preparation, perspective, and good company.

"I am glad I took this trip.  You and Kelly are the best travel agents I have had experienced with.  Everything went so smooth and prompted.  We explored several amazing places and tasted the best Japanese food.  I really enjoyed Silver Nova.  I didn’t book anything onboard as I am not sure where and when I want to go as yet.  Hope you trip home goes smoothly.  Thanks for a wonderful trip."

“Absolutely can’t say enough about MGA Travel! Just returned from my first [Outlanders] trip - Circumnavigating Iceland and Crossing the Arctic Circle - and I will definitely be booking future travel with Michael & Kelly! All of the planning and details were expertly executed and left me being able to thoroughly enjoy my trip without worrying about anything!Michael and Kelly are super fun, thoughtful, accommodating and flexible! They really know how to put together group travel and make it seem flawless. Best time ever!!!!”

Audrey W.

"We had an amazing time on our trip with MGA to Japan! It didn't start out as we planned since our 11:00 am flight to Tokyo via Toronto was canceled the night before at 10:30pm. Michael's team (thanks, Kristen) worked through the night to rebook us on another flight (we did have to fly from Newark rather than Philadelphia but not too long a drive) , this one direct, to get us to Japan to meet up with the tour group. If we'd stayed with Air Canada's rebooking, we'd have missed a whole day. Instead, we got to enjoy the bullet train to Kyoto and the start of a wonderful cherry blossom voyage circumnavigating Japan.

Michael and Kelly and their MGA team curated a special cruise and excursions that we are so glad we got to experience. We've been on about 8 trips with them all over the world, and it's helpful to have their experience and ability to resolve issues. Plus they are great people and a lot of fun!"

“We love traveling with Michael and Kelly. They are such gracious hosts and if anything goes wrong, they are on top of it. The trip was awesome.”

Dave H.

“Always wanted to travel to this area of the country and it seemed the perfect time to combine a river cruise and 3 national Parks. None of which I have experienced before.”

Bev A.

”Always fun to travel with the Outlanders. A great group of people and it’s a treat to see familiar faces at meals and to share information over a glass of wine about the adventures of the day. A real added bonus is having Michael and Kelly host our trips. Not only are they fun traveling companions, but they take care of every detail and often add an unexpected event to the already interesting itinerary. “

Susan R.

“In the last 8 months I have taken 2 major trips with MGA Travel - in 2023 to Alaska, and very recently to Argentina/Antarctica. Both trips were spectacular. Tom and Marge Mugno were excellent hosts for Alaska which included a cruise segment, as well as an excursion into Denali. Michael and Kelly Graham hosted the Antarctica trip, as part of MGA’s Outlander Society. I cannot adequately express the service they provide to Outlander clients - they go to extraordinary lengths to ensure the experience is the best that it can be. It is simply the best customer care I have ever received..”
