November 1, 2027 for 8 nights, hosted by Michael & Kelly (Max 24 guests), you will be transported from the dance floor safari to the wilds of Tanzania!
Welcome to The Real Safari, our next unforgettable Shag Destinations Journey, where the spirit of fellowship, adventure, and shared memories moves from the dance floor to the wild plains of Tanzania.
This is not just another trip. This is the adventure that is life changing.
Together, we’ll journey through Tarangire National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the legendary Serengeti, following elephant herds beneath giant baobab trees, watching lions at sunset, and sharing stories around the lodge after days that feel almost unreal.
For many in our shag family, this may be the once-in-a-lifetime journey we’ve always talked about taking “one day.”
This is that day.
The itinerary begins with two comfortable nights in Arusha to rest, recover from the long flight, and ease into Africa at a relaxed pace before safari begins.
From there, every day builds:
This is a comfortable hosted safari, not a rugged expedition.
Private 4×4 safari vehicles, expert guides, beautiful lodges, thoughtful pacing, and plenty of time to simply sit back and absorb the wonder.
You will be with a certified Excellent Guide in our Land Cruise safari vehicle exclusive to our private group (max 6 passengers per Vehicle). Our Shag safari includes all meet and greet services, Guaranteed Window Seat on Safari; airport transfers, Wi-Fi, Packed hamper (Lunch box) lunches, Most Meals, check-in Services to the hotels/ Lodges, and Bottled Water on Safari.

All of our safaris include a visit with these amazing people.
The Maasai tribe lives in southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are known for their welcoming dances where the man sings and jumps as high as possible with straight legs, to show how fit and strong they are. The woman stands at the side, singing with the man and doing a special dance for women only.
The Masai believe that all the cows in the world belong to them and were given to them by god. A family’s wealth is measured by the number of cows they own.
The Masai tribe lives in villages (Manyata) and each woman builds a small house (boma) for her family. The boma’s structure is made of wood and it is covered by a mix of mud, wood and sticks, grass, cow dung, human urine, and ash. Traditionally, men wear sheets that are wrapped around the body. Usually, the main color is red but you can see some blue colors and a paid pattern. Men and women are wearing ornaments made of colorful beads.
