Camp Kiattua & Saqqaq

Join Kelly and me as we return to the enchanting landscapes of Greenland, embarking on an exclusive expedition to a secluded pristine wilderness. Our intimate journey, limited to just 10 guests, begins and concludes in the Nuuk, Greenland.

United Airlines now offers direct flights from Newark to Nuuk (weather permitting). Alternatively, you can arrive by cruise, as this Northwest Passage by Seabourn ends in Greenland on August 19th, 2027!

A Unique Stay in Luxury Tented Camps

Immerse Yourself in Nature’s Grandeur

Prepare to connect deeply with nature as we spend eight unforgettable nights in fully outfitted tented camps, nestled amidst Greenland’s breathtaking beauty. With expert guides to lead the way and a dedicated crew to cater to your every need, your safety and comfort are assured.

Embrace the opportunity to witness the awe-inspiring Northern Lights, and partake in a variety of adventures at each of our two distinct camps. All activities are inclusive and optional, ensuring a personalized experience tailored to your preferences and comfort level. From exhilarating excursions to peaceful moments soaking in the rugged beauty of the camp, the choice is yours.

Luxury in the Heart of the Wilderness

Comfort Amidst Nature’s Splendor

To get to Camp Kiattua, we will take a 2 hour enclosed boat ride along the amazing fjords in the area. Please note Greenland can have bad weather conditions at times, and in such cases the boat ride could be a bit rough – which is why we upgraded from the open air RIB boat to the enclosed boat.

Our journey unfolds at Camp Kiattua, where we will spend four magical nights immersed in serenity. We then transition to a night of urban exploration in Nuuk, staying at the Hotel Hans Egede. Our adventure continues further north at Disko Bay, with four nights at Camp Saqqaq, before concluding our Greenlandic exploration with a night at the Hotel Icefiord in Ilulissat.

In Ilulissat, we have a visit to the Icefjord Center, where you can choose a walk down the boardwalk to view the Icefjords, or choose the 4 mile rugged hike over the mountains on uneven terrain for even better views, ultimately ending at our hotel.

From the comfortable teepees and tents at both camps to the well-appointed hotels in Nuuk and Ilulissat, every detail has been considered for your comfort. Enjoy plush beds with down mattresses, hot showers, chef-prepared meals, and the luxury of an all-inclusive experience. Each private tent accommodates two guests and features its own private bathroom, ensuring privacy and convenience.

Remember that, while we are visiting in the summertime of Greenland, temperatures can still be cold – especially further north at Camp Saqqaq. And we are staying in tents, which do have heaters and heated blankets, but you’ll need to dress accordingly. As one of our Outlander’s likes to say, “there”s no bad weather, just bad gear.”

Itinerary

Journey to the Heart of the Arctic: An Outlander Adventure

August 19, 2027: Journey to Greenland Either arrive on the Seabourn Venture, where you’ll disembark in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland and take the short flight to Nuuk (not included), or fly from Newark on the nonstop direct United flight to Nuuk, the captivating capital of Greenland.

Time in Greenland: A Symphony of Nature and Adventure As we fine-tune our itinerary for the Greenlandic leg of our journey, rest assured that a world of wonder awaits. Below is a glimpse into the two luxurious camps that will be our homes away from home, complete with a plethora of activities and amenities to ensure your experience is nothing short of extraordinary.

Camp Saqqaq: Nestled in a tranquil bay, Camp Saqqaq offers a blend of adventure and serenity. Engage in thrilling water-based activities aboard our RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats), explore the surrounding wilderness, and revel in the unspoiled beauty of Greenland.

The flight between the two camps (or rather the nearest towns to them, Nuuk-> Ilulissat), is included and will be with Air Greenland.

Camp Kiattua: Immerse yourself in the heart of Greenland’s stunning landscapes at Camp Kiattua. Whether you’re seeking adventure on the water, tranquility amidst nature, or a blend of both, this camp promises a bespoke experience tailored to your desires.

For all water-based activities, we provide state-of-the-art equipment, including immersion suits, ensuring your comfort and safety as you explore the Arctic waters. Please note that while transfers to and from the camps are typically conducted via our high-speed RIBs, either your arrival or our departure from Camp Saqqaq (5 guests each way) will be a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter ride (weather permitting), offering breathtaking aerial views of Greenland’s pristine landscapes. If Air Greenland cancels the flight, we will all 10 transfer by an upgraded enclosed boat, rather than the RIB boat.

August 29th, 2027: Time to say goodbye as we transfer to Nuuk to fly home.

Please Note: The flight between the two Greenland camps is included, the hotels in Nuuk and Ililussat are included, all transfers, and practically every meal is included. However, getting to Greenland is not included in the price – though we will assist you in booking international airfare and/or the Northwest Passage cruise. If you arrive by Northwest Passage Cruise on the Seabourn Venture, you will need a flight from Kangerlussuaq to Nuuk, which is not included but we will help you arrange it.

Greenland Grandeur 5 Stars

Reviewed By Ray – Pawleys Island, SC | Traveled to Nuuk | Greenland | Greenland

The [2025] trip to Greenland and Iceland was the most fulfilling adventure of my life, particularly the Greenland camp experience. It was not an “easy” trip, but I did not expect it to be. The thrill and beauty of the camp experience is almost indescribable. As always, Michael went overboard to meet everyone’s needs.
