There is a beautiful archipelago of islands off the coast of Portugal called the Azores. They are considered to be the Hawaii of Europe, and by far the best place to be is on Terceira (The Third Island).
This home has two bedrooms with full bathrooms upstairs, one bedroom with a full bathroom on the main level as well as a half bath on the main level. It boasts a beautiful living room and kitchen. In the back of the home, there is a gated outdoor patio with a brick grill, a covered table and a private area. This lovely air-conditioned home is in an excellent location in Praia da Vitória. You can walk downtown or to the beach in ten minutes or less. Nearby, there are also several great restaurants and historical sites. However, to take advantage of the hidden gems on the rest of the island, we do recommend getting a rental car.
The island is divided into two municipalities, Angra do Heroísmo and Praia da Vitória. Angra do Heroísmo is the oldest city and is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. All over Terceira, there is so much to see and do. The views from the highest point on the island are breathtaking, and given a good weather day, may offer an opportunity to see São Miguel or Pico, other islands in the archipelago. You can explore caves, a dormant volcano, volcanic hotspots, calderas, beaches with natural pools inside volcanic rocks, and more. We can help you arrange all of these activities and provide information on traveling between islands during your stay.
