Have you ever been chilled on a January day and thought about going somewhere warm and fun, and getting a little sun on your face?  Have you ever wondered what the Florida Keys has to offer, but were overwhelmed with the many choices of where to go, where to stay, or what to do?  Do you wish you could visit multiple Keys with an experienced guide so that you didn’t waste time or money trying to create your winter getaway?  Well, we have the perfect solution for you: An 8-night guided tour of the Florida Keys in January, 2025!

My name is Troy, and I’ve spent the last three Januarys in the Keys, exploring places, participating in activities, and visiting many hotels, restaurants, and sunset tiki-bars.  As a certified agent of the “Key Lime Academy”, I’ve used this knowledge and first-hand experience to create an 8-night trip, traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Mile 0 in Key West, reaching the southernmost point of the USA.  The itinerary includes full days in the best of the hundreds of Keys, including: Key Largo, Islamorada, Marathon, and Key West.  This is a small-group trip (12 couples maximum), so if you are interested, I would encourage you to review the “Next Step” listed at the end of this document.

Itinerary (Jan 16-24) for the “Winter Weather Buster” Tour:

Day 1: Group Meets at Hotel near Fort Lauderdale Airport (night in Ft. Lauderdale) to start our Motorcoach tour the next morning.

Day 2: Key Largo (night in Marathon)

Day 3, 4, 5: Marathon/Islamorada (nights in Marathon)

Day 6,7: Key West (nights in Key West)

Day 8: Partial day in Key West (night in Fort Lauderdale)

Day 9: Departure home

Example of a typical day on the Keys Land Tour

Breakfast at hotel, take a Glass Bottom Boat to see the Coral Reef, lunch at Key Largo Fisheries, spend the afternoon at John Pennekamp State park (various activities available), Setset and Dinner at Snooks.

Included:

• A small group setting, with a maximum of 12 couples.
• An informative, introductory tour of the Florida Keys, with a sampling of a wide-variety of activities, including History, Art, Wildlife, Nature Trail Hikes, Watersports, and Music.
• Roundtrip Motorcoach transportation from Fort Lauderdale to Key West.
• 8 Night Hotel accommodations at Marriott properties.
• Admission costs to various activities in Key Largo, Marathon, Islamorada, and Key West.
• Welcome lunch in Key Largo.
• Daily itineraries featuring some of the best places, activities, and sights that each Key has to offer with an experienced guide.  Guide will also be able to help with optional activities, restaurant recommendations, etc.
• Examples of itinerary activities: Glass bottom boat ride, Museums, Nature Trails, Sea Turtle Hospital, Key West “train” ride, Southernmost Point, Hemingway’s House, Jimmy Buffett’s studio, Sunset cruise, Marina’s, Duval street in Key West, Butterfly conservatory.
• Breakfast at each Hotel.
• Gratuities.
• Opportunities to see wildlife such as manatees, sea turtles, tarpon, flamingoes, Keys roosters, etc.
• Opportunities to learn about the history of the Keys and Henry Flagler’s railroad to Key West, through various museums and tours.
• Say hello to Key’s celebrities Betsy the Lobster and Fred the Tree.
• Shopping stops for unique gifts and decorations, including the famous Kino Sandals of Key West.
• Beautiful nightly sunsets at local tiki bars.
• Wide variety of options to explore in your free time.
• You’ll leave the Keys with enough knowledge to return again on your own, or with the desire to be part of our annual trip again next year (with new activities)!
• A relaxing, fun trip with a special peacefulness that is unique to life in the Florida Keys.

• Transportation to/from your house to Ft Lauderdale
• Lunch/Dinners/Drinks.
• Optional activity admission fees.
